Many bikers were arriving in Rothschild on Monday and the bigger part of the bash continues Tuesday, when they'll stop in Wausau en route to the events in Milwaukee this week.

Seven of the 25 "Ride Home" motorcycle routes converge in Wausau Tuesday.

Rothschild Police Chief Bill Schremp said he was originally told that anywhere between 25,000 and 100,000 motorcycles could come to the area.

Rothschild and Kronenwetter officers were not allowed to take vacation or compensation time during these next few days to make sure the departments are fully staffed.

Hotels are also hoping to cash in, with many dropping their rates to attract as many bikers as possible as they head south.
