At your service

Jaime Leonardelli’s Wauwatosa-based business, Property Concierge, is a full-service household management company.

Having someone to manage your home and day-to-day affairs is a luxury for some, and a necessity for others.

Either way, Jaime Leonardelli and his Wauwatosa-based Property Concierge are at your beck and call.

"Before I opened Property Concierge, I managed a private residence — and continue to do so — for more than 10 years," he says. "I’m comfortable in this type of work and it’s something I enjoy."

While Leonardelli’s business focuses on four core service issues, he says the easiest way to understand the concept behind Property Concierge and its household management services is to picture a newer, sleeker, à la carte version of a traditional butler. Instead of formality, there’s technology. But there’s the same dedication to service.

"I’m always available," he says, noting that his services are available throughout the metro Milwaukee area and out into the Lake Country and Northshore. "And my hourly rate is not outlandish, particularly when you look at all the other ways people can be spending their time. It really comes down to what you think your time is worth."

During the holidays, Leonardelli takes care of holiday decorating. He’s also available for the dreaded down time while waiting for residential service appointments.

Property Concierge also provides traditional house sitting services and home care/contracting management. In 2008, Leonardelli hopes to roll out a vehicle management program.

Concierges actually date back to the 12th century, and the traditional meaning of concierge is "keeper of the keys." Though the definition is centuries old, it takes on new significance for those of us in perpetual time poverty.

"Today individuals are looking to enjoy more free time; parents are looking to spend more time with their families," says Leonardelli. "I want Property Concierge to be a service that allows clients those luxuries and for us to enhance their lives."

The concept of a household manager is not new, but it’s something that Leonardelli hopes more people will take advantage of in the Milwaukee area.

"Our current clients see it as something a little bit new and refreshing," he says. "They like the fact that something like this is now available in Milwaukee."
