Representative of Milwaukee:

Bob Uecker

Let’s face it, Bob Uecker could be doing a lot of things right now other than living in Milwaukee and broadcasting Brewers games. “He could have moved to Hollywood or been the lead play-by-play announcer for any market he wanted,” says Jim Powell, Uecker’s radio partner for the last nine years. “He’s had overtures, but he quickly rebuffed them. He wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Uecker’s storytelling and famous sense of humor make Brewers games a compelling listen, regardless of the score. “His goal every day is to have a good time and make sure everyone around him has a good time,” Powell says. “It’s lucky for us he chose a profession where he’s on the radio.” And lucky for us he’s on the radio right here in Milwaukee.
