Ned Yost has been head coach of the Milwaukee Brewers for two years. In his first year as head coach, the team went 68-94, a 12-game improvement over the 2002 final record.

This season, he guided the Brewers to a National League club record 10-game winning streak in August.

>> Best sets of lungs:

“I love the way the fans in Wisconsin support their teams. One of the reasons I became the manager of the Brewers was because of the fans. I know how supportive they are and I hope to be able to bring a parade back to Milwaukee soon.”

>> Best local landmark: “I truly believe that Miller Park is one of the best facilities in all of Major League Baseball.  With the retractable roof, we are able to play even in the most inclement weather.”

>> Best season: “I love the beautiful summers that Milwaukee boasts and I also love the cold winters, especially the snow.”

>> Best summer activity: “My family and I really enjoy the festivals in Milwaukee from Summerfest to Bastille Days to the new Encore. My kids have a great time heading down to the lakefront and enjoying all of the different ethnic and music festivals.”

>> Best race track:  “Milwaukee Mile Speedway. As a fan of NASCAR, it’s nice to have a big racetrack nearby.”
