The
Bon-Ton Stores have raised the luxury quotient by adding an exclusive
private brand from designer Victor Alfaro. Victor by Victor Alfaro is
launching locally this month at Boston Store, and will offer misses,’
petite’s and women’s apparel, as well as shoes, accessories,
jewelry and handbags, with the opportunity to extend into men’s
apparel and home. The line will be sold in about 150 stores this year,
and expand to all stores in spring 2009.
While his new collection for Bon-Ton will undoubtedly make him a
household name, Alfaro is no stranger to the fashion spotlight. His
designs have graced the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s
Bazaar and Elle, and his celebrity following reaches from the musical
world of Madonna and Jennifer Lopez to model Cindy Crawford to
high-profile actresses Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore.
According to Alfaro, his collection "is all about pieces that
transcend age and define refinement through luxurious
sensibility." Watch for Alfaro to make personal appearances at
Bon-Ton stores in the coming months, including Boston Store’s Sept.
