Kinnickinnic Ave., Bay View, came to birth with the idea to bring all socially responsible shopping into one special place. Check out a huge selection of fair trade, organic and natural products. At Chartreuse, 2227 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Bay View, carries men’s, women’s and children’s apparel in many eco-chic labels from across the country.

Vintage: A fashionable blast from the past

Yellow Jacket, 1237 E. Brady St., Milwaukee, is a true hipster’s heaven. You’ll find a huge selection of hot vintage fashions that span decades. Dragonfly, 1117 E. Brady St., Milwaukee, has something for everyone. A truly unique assortment of retro, vintage and modern apparel, accessories and home furnishings await your visit. Closet Classics Caffeine, 1000 E. Seeking to sell or trade unwanted items that are still in good shape, and in good fashion? Rethreads, 2943 N. Humboldt Blvd., Milwaukee, is the perfect place to do it. Owner Beret Isaacson gets 100 percent of her inventory from her customers. Find men’s and women’s vintage and current styles from popular labels for a fraction of the price. Formerly Fasten Collective, Sparrow is a designer-run boutique that is home to more than 60 designers. Find one-of-a-kind pieces in apparel, accessories and more. Seeking to score some locally made threads and pick up some tips on how to primp? Then Blush, 249 N. Water St., Milwaukee, is the place for you. The boutique carries high-end beauty lines and features the famous Brow Bar. It also displays some of the most fashion-forward designers in the Milwaukee area, such as Mink by Amanda Ergen.

High-end Designers: Who says high-end fashion belongs only to the coasts?
