Fall is undoubtedly fashion’s favorite season. Fabrics transition from summer’s signature wear (think lightweight cotton and breezy linen) to more substantial materials like fur, suede and cable knit, and accessories take on a bolder look, embracing seasonal trends and rich hues. And while cabin life is quintessentially cozy, there’s no need to look undone. Incorporating staples like buffalo plaid shirts, oversized sweaters and statement jewelry into your wardrobe is a simple way to step up your style game, and these looks prove that fashion can be found anywhere — even in the North Woods.

About the location: For this month’s fall fashion editorial, we headed north to Destination Kohler’s Sandhill cabin in Mosel, Wis. The cabin itself is Mr. Kohler’s dream of building a red-roof hunting "shack" realized — a three-level, 2,000-square-foot cabin that sits on 350 acres of wilderness. Available to rent year-round, the secluded retreat seamlessly pairs luxury and charm. To learn more, go to americanclubresort.com/lodging/sandhill.
