The Weeges
of Nashotah hired Carolyn Taylor of Heritage Carpet and
Interiors of Hartland to redesign their kitchen when they
decided to remodel their tri-level home. A partial wall was
removed, opening up the space into the living room. Hardwood
floors, dark granite countertops and cherry wood add warmth to
the remodeled space.

When they
built their home, located on the fifth hole of the Fairways of
Woodside in the town of Lisbon, Jean and Dave Stanley chose to
downsize their living space, except for the kitchen. To take
advantage of their excellent view, the Stanleys built a large
three-sided island, which provides plenty of prep area along
with seating for five. The dining room table is placed next to
6-foot windows that capture the afternoon sun and beautiful
sunsets. The Maharaja red walls and brown birch cabinets give
the room a Tuscany feel. The tropical brown granite counter tops
blend nicely with the earth-tone shades. "The way that our
kitchen is designed is better for entertaining than our previous
home," says Jean.
