The Milwaukee Public Museum's holiday decorations will include a series of photographs celebrating Milwaukee holidays in the early 20th century. The photos were selected from the museum's collection of Sumner Matteson photographs taken from 1909-'10. Photos courtesy of Milwaukee Public Museum photo collection.

Ruth (Jahn) Renz and her brother Carl celebrated Christmas in Mequon. Pickings were slim in 1946, following WWII; Ruth's gift was the necklace she's wearing and Carl's was a new sweater. Photo from the collection of Ruth Renz.

The stage is set for holiday activities at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Family fun includes live music and dance from cultures around the world, handcrafting ornaments and touring the "Streets of Old Milwaukee" and "European Village" dressed up in holiday decorations.
