From the early '40s 'til 1966,
the Cedarburg Fire Department hosted Memorial Day motorcycle
races at Firemen's Park, located on the north side of Cedarburg.
The park had a 1/2 mile oval track, with a 1/4 mile oval track
inside the 1/2 mile. Above, a rider takes a fall. Photo from the
Harold Dobberpuhl collection at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.
At left, Harleys were parked in an impressive lineup as riders
congregated to watch the annual races.
