Nearly 40 neighbors, relatives and friends gathered to rebuild Edward Weide's barn in the Town of Oconomowoc after it was leveled by a fire on June 14, 1967. Before rebuilding the barn, the group helped gather approximately 5,000 bales of hay in one day's work using five hay balers.

From the early '40s 'til 1966, the Cedarburg Fire Department hosted Memorial Day motorcycle races at Firemen's Park, located on the north side of Cedarburg. The park had a 1/2 mile oval track, with a 1/4 mile oval track inside the 1/2 mile. Above, a rider takes a fall. Photo from the Harold Dobberpuhl collection at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.
