DELAFIELD – Tony & Mia’s may be serving its final brunch on
Sunday, but owner Tony Piering will be taking his homemade bacon
with him to his new stationary food truck in Wauwatosa.
Piering and his wife, Camille DiNicola, who is also the
executive chef at Tony & Mia’s, have operated the restaurant for
two-and-a-half years and have received recognition for their
Italian food. On Friday, Piering said it was time for the couple
to move on to new ventures, but that they will miss their
customers.
The last day of business is Sunday for the downtown Delafield
restaurant. It has already been sold to Brian Ward, the owner of
Ward’s House of Prime on Mason Street in Milwaukee.
“They are looking for an avenue into Lake Country,” Piering
said.
