MILWAUKEE – Prolitec Inc. has hired Ken Redding as senior vice president of sales for the Milwaukee-based company, which is a developer of air treatment, scenting and air care technologies under its Air/Q brand.

Redding has served as vice president and general manger of Outerwall Inc.’s Rubi automated retail network from 2009 to this year. Bellevue, Wash.-based Outerwall is known for its Redbox movie and video game rental kiosks and Coinstar kiosks.

Redding also worked for Seattle-based Starbucks for 13 years and held a variety of positions including vice president of wholesale sales and distribution and vice president of strategic business development.

Redding will work from Prolitec’s Seattle office and will report to CEO Richard Weening.

According to the company, Redding brings business-to-business experience and consumer business with models similar to Prolitec.

“Equally important, he has worked extensively in the hospitality and retail sectors where we are a leader in providing ambient scenting services,” Weening said.
