SURG to open Hom restaurant at Bayshore

Special to The Freeman

Nov. 19, 2013

GLENDALE – SURG Restaurant Group is planning a Hom Wood Fired Grill for Bayshore Town Center, using the same concept that replaced 8-twelve MVP Bar & Grill in Brookfield.

Earlier this year, SURG announced plans to open an 8-twelve at Bayshore Town Center. The restaurant’s concept centered on Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun and Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers, who have both received MVP awards. However, SURG dropped its association with Braun after he admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.

Ryan Braun’s Graffito restaurant was closed in October in Milwaukee’s 3rd Ward.

The Brookfield 8-twelve, 17800 W. Blue Mound Road, became Hom this fall.

Hom features meat and produce from local farms, and will open at the Bayshore Town Center in the first quarter of 2014.
