WAUKESHA - Christopher Hernandez said he
thinks his late father, former Alderman Richard Hernandez, would be
pleased with his win over Lori Howe in the city’s District 3
aldermanic race.
In unofficial results in Tuesday’s election, Hernandez garnered
191 votes to Howe’s 104, to succeed Alderman Charles Betker, who
is retiring after 38 consecutive years on the Waukesha Common
Council.
"It feels fantastic," Hernandez said moments after the
vote totals were announced at the District 3 voting poll in the
Rotary building. "I’m on top of the world."
