Interim West Bend Mayor Kristine Deiss, left, cheers around her family and friends when she hears the final tally during her party at The Binkery in West Bend Tuesday night. Deiss became the first woman to be elected mayor of West Bend.

WEST BEND - Interim Mayor Kristine Deiss won Tuesday’s election over Mike Christian, an events coordinator for Jeff’s Spirits on Main, while two incumbent aldermen lost their Common Council seats to challengers.

Richard Lindbeck, 63, a retired state patrol sergeant and instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Oak Creek, won the District 3 aldermanic seat away from three-term incumbent King Riffel, 65, a retired West Bend police lieutenant and instructor at Moraine Park Technical College.

Tony Turner, 45, an information systems consultant won the District 1 seat over the incumbent Roy Justman, 59, a retired painter-decorator and County Board supervisor.
