RICHFIELD - Richfield’s newly formed Village Board underwent its
first change with Tuesday’s election, which saw former town
Treasurer Rock Brandner edge out interim trustee Greg Galinsky.

The special election was called for after the municipality
changed status from town to village by way of a Nov. 6, 2007
referendum.
Village Board President Diane Pedersen, along with trustees
Galinsky, John Jeffords, Chuck Kugel and Dan Neu were appointed to
interim positions until the April 1 election. Pedersen ran unopposed
and took 98 percent of the total votes cast Tuesday for the
position.
