Oconomowoc High School students created a memorial this weekend for their associate principal and former English teacher, Jennifer Bukosky, who died in a car accident Friday at Summit Avenue and Pabst Road. From left, sophomores Nicole Nelson, Kristi Brock and Chelsea Sontag share memories of Bukosky on Sunday afternoon. Friday’s crash also killed Bukosky’s unborn child and her 10-year-old daughter, Courtney Bella.

OCONOMOWOC - When Oconomowoc High School junior Jordan Raether told OHS Associate Principal Jennifer Bukosky his mother was diagnosed with leukemia, Bukosky was there for him and his siblings.

Now that a tragic accident has claimed the administrator’s life, that of her unborn child and her 10-year-old daughter, Courtney Bella, he wanted to honor Bukosky by setting up a Facebook group page.

"She was always there for us. Whether it was buying lunch if we forgot lunch money or seeing how our day was going, she treated us like she would her own kids," Raether said. "She touched so many people in a short period of time that I knew I wanted to do something."

Two other memorial groups were started by Sunday afternoon, with hundreds of students joining to share their memories, stories and poems about their beloved teacher and associate principal.
