Thousands of bikers expected 
at Washington County Fair Park

WEST BEND - Hazel Ibbs of Campbell River, British Columbia stood by her little yellow tent at the Washington County Fair Park campground and looked at the fleet of RVs to her north.

"Personally we think if you can’t ride it here, you shouldn’t be here," Ibbs joked.

Her husband, Ron Dionne, was more direct.

"Trailering your bike is a sickness," he said.

The other four members of the North Vancouver Island H.O.G. chapter laughed. There aren’t staredowns between the tents and RVs at H.O.G. Haven, the official campground of Harley-Davidson’s 105th anniversary. At worst, the North Vancouver Island bikers take amusement from their RV-dwelling brethren.
