WEST BEND - Hazel Ibbs of Campbell River, British Columbia stood
by her little yellow tent at the Washington County Fair Park
campground and looked at the fleet of RVs to her north.
"Personally we think if you can’t ride it here, you
shouldn’t be here," Ibbs joked.
Her husband, Ron Dionne, was more direct.
"Trailering your bike is a sickness," he said.
The other four members of the North Vancouver Island H.O.G.
chapter laughed. There aren’t staredowns between the tents and RVs
at H.O.G. Haven, the official campground of Harley-Davidson’s
105th anniversary. At worst, the North Vancouver Island bikers take
amusement from their RV-dwelling brethren.
