Elmbrook continues review 
of sex education materials
School board moves to require its approval before adoption

BROOKFIELD - The Elmbrook School Board voted Tuesday night to add a step to the human growth and development curriculum materials approval.

With a 5 to 2 vote, the board decided to now require approval of the human growth and development materials and lessons. Board members Steve Schwei and Bob Ziegler voted against the measure.

Schwei has repeatedly said it is not the job of the school board to micro-manage the teachers and other district staff. He also said material approval is not required for any other curriculum.
