Cutler Park spruced up for Harley party

WAUKESHA - If Cutler Park looks a bit different, it’s because it got something of a makeover for the Harley-Davidson extravaganza. Mona Bauer, customer and administrative services manager for the Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, said some of the trees were tidied up and trimmed to accommodate the stage and VIP seating area for the event.

Promoters have rented a high-tech stage worth $500,000 for such headliners as Joe Nichols, Montgomery Gentry and the BoDeans. Bauer said she thought it was "ingenious" that to overcome the problem of rows and rows of permanent benches in front of the Les Paul Bandshell, the promoters built a large deck over them to serve as an attractive seating section for VIP pass holders.
