Fair Park crowds get high marks for good behavior

The Washington County Fair Park's first attempt at a large-scale camping event has been a learning process.

H.O.G. Haven, the official campground for Harley-Davidson's 105th anniversary has gone well so far, said Nancy Justman, fair park executive director. While attendance for Wednesday's Lynyrd Skynyrd concert didn't hit the rumored 70,000 mark, Justman figures between 30,000 and 40,000 people showed for the event, putting it in shouting distance of the fair's 40,000 record set this year by a Boston and Styx concert.

The big news for Justman was that the crowd was so well behaved.
