WAUKESHA - Legal representatives for the
Waukesha School District and others involved in a lawsuit against
those surrounding a post-employment benefit scheme have submitted
financial and residency documents about a top investor and have
asked that the case return to circuit court.
In September, the school districts alleged they were misled in
benefit package investments in a lawsuit filed against investment
brokers Stifel Nicolaus & Company Inc. and the Royal Bank of
Canada, as well as Stifel’s former chief financial officer and
co-chief, James Zemlyak.
Attorneys representing the school districts last week submitted
exhibits about Zemlyak’s residency over the last decade, with
plans and loans for a more than $1 million home constructed in Elm
Grove, Wisconsin tax filings, a Wisconsin driver’s license, and
titles from here for four vehicles, including a 1986 Porsche. The
filings also list payments for membership at Western Racquet Club
and a donation to St. Mary’s Parish in Elm Grove.
