Mayor Phil Schuman said he received word from City Attorney Mark Sewell on Friday that Aul had dropped the lawsuit, one day before common council members were set to close TIF District #3 at a special meeting this morning.

"I just didn’t think he had much of a case," Schuman said Friday. "We did have a referendum on this (public water system) several years ago."
