Ryan Kropp, 24, of West Bend was charged with placing foreign objects in edibles, a class I felony punishable by a maximum three-year prison term, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Washington County District Attorney’s office.

The alleged incident occurred Saturday when a manager of the popular restaurant asked a customer how his steak was. The customer replied that it was a "little over done, but that it would be OK," according to the complaint. The manager insisted the customer get a new steak, took it back to the kitchen and told the cook to prepare a new steak the way the customer originally or-dered it, medium rare.
