The luxury boutique hotel and its fine dining restaurant, The Black Trumpet, will open in the renovated Clarke Building, 314 W. Main St.

Rebecca Ortega, general manager of the hotel, gave a presentation Thursday night for more than a dozen mayors from across the state who will be attending an Alliance of Cities meeting here today. The Black Trumpet will open first, sometime in late May or early June, with the hotel opening to follow within a couple of weeks.

"I’m very excited to be a part of this project and its wonderful downtown setting," she said.
