Flooding woes far from over in Grafton

GRAFTON - Evacuated by boat from her home nearly a month ago, Louise Stahlberg finally slept in her own bed this past weekend.

The disaster area that was on the first level of her Edgewater Drive home has since moved to her kitchen. Green wading boots and a bottle of bleach sit among stacked boxes and wet newspaper clippings from 1936. On the kitchen table, flood insurance claim forms and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) applications for disaster recovery assistance lay next to the day's Suduko puzzle.
