Existing home sales fell 17.5 percent in Waukesha County during the month of June, and 22 percent in the greater Milwaukee area, according to figures released Thursday by Multiple Listing Service Inc.

On a year-to-date basis, home sales in the county are down 21.6 percent from 2007 and 27.9 percent from 2006 levels.

New data from Menasha-based MTD Marketing Services LLC also revealed that local home building remained slow in June.
