Bernadine Matthews of Milwaukee, who is black, has filed a
complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after she
was turned down for a county support specialist position in 2006 and
later found out a week after human resources staff told her the
position was filled, they allegedly held interviews for the position
and eventually hired a less-qualified white woman.
