UW-Waukesha sees slight drop 
in applicants
Schools with increases cause student decline here

WAUKESHA - Applications for incoming students to the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha are down so far this year even though the state university system has seen slight growth overall.

The drop in overall applicants isn’t a concern to school officials because they still expect to hit the targeted number of approximately 650 to 700 incoming freshmen in the fall.

As of Monday, the school received 1,299 applicants, which is down from 1,383 at this time last year. But the number of admitted freshmen is at 880, which is up nine students.
