WAUKESHA - An alleged illegal immigrant
pleaded guilty to delivering cocaine Tuesday, two months after his
attorney complained his $100,000 cash bail was posted, but seized so
that authorities could get a federal immigration detainer on him,
effectively keeping him locked up.

Ariele Aviles, 25, faces an unspecified prison term, followed by
likely deportation, when he is sentenced July 7.
Aviles’ plea came four months after his Dec. 6 arrest in a
parking lot of a Moreland Boulevard restaurant, during a $13,000
transaction for a half-kilo of cocaine, conducted by undercover
officers, according to court documents.
