Scenic View Country Club owner Frank Romano was recently named among the top 20 owner-operators in the world by Golf Inc. magazine. Scenic View is located south of Slinger. The industry veteran is knee deep in an expansion project at a Germantown golf course he bought in 2006.

TOWN OF POLK - In a county dominated by golfing hot spots, one owner-operator has gained international recognition as one of the industry’s best and brightest.

Scenic View Country Club owner Frank Romano, 40, was recently included in Golf Inc. magazine’s latest Most Admired Operators list, an annual honor restricted to 20 owners and operators around the globe.

Candidates were nominated by industry peers for business and revenue growth, and an ability to boost memberships amid economic uncertainty, according to the magazine’s editors.

"He really deserves this," said Roger Kist, executive director of the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
