WAUKESHA - Democrats are more trusted
than Republicans to run the state, and the majority of Wisconsin
residents think their current Legislature and Gov. Jim Doyle are
doing a good job, according to the latest Badger Poll, released
Thursday by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

According to the poll, 54 percent of Wisconsinites approve of the
job the Legislature is doing, up from 40 percent in December.
Although there was such a large spike in lawmaker job approval
during the past four months, it’s not enough to give local
incumbents up for re-election a boost of confidence.
