National entertainer Suzy Bogguss
performs Saturday at Chix 4 A Cause at Washington County

TOWN OF POLK - Thanks, celebration and
hope sparked a spiritual difference in addition to raising funds for
Chix 4 A Cause.
A warmly lit, stress-free atmosphere
overtook the Washington County Fair Park Pavilion as it housed the
meaningful event attended by local cancer patients, survivors, their
families, friends, and other supporters Saturday.
Representing the nonprofit organization in its fourth year, Chix 4 A
Cause founder Jillian Clark marveled at the turnout of people
occupying table after table to enjoy the talents of country music
singer Suzy Bogguss while sharing fellowship.
"See? This is what it’s all about," said Clark, whose
Chix 4 A Cause concept stemmed from needs she observed in close
friends battling cancer.
