Amy Acker, 38, of Waukesha, pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor charges of forgery in a plea agreement that saw the charges against her, issued almost two years ago, reduced from felonies.

As part of the case, Acker entered into a deferred prosecution agreement regarding three other potential counts of forgery that were not charged. Should Acker follow the terms of the two-year deferred prosecution agreement - which call for her to continue her mental health treatment, not practice law until May 2010 and avoid any new law violations - those charges will be dismissed.
