WAUKESHA - The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Foundation Board
appointed five new members Wednesday in an effort to help expand the
school’s presence in the community.
With the appointments, administrators said it should help them
reach out to the community and help generate more money toward
tuition costs. There are now 15 members on the board, which is five
short of its capacity.
"It does a lot for us because it expands the power of the
board," UW-Waukesha Dean Patrick Schmitt said. "By
expanding the board by one-half, it also signals what hopes to be a
new direction."
New appointees are legal assistant Kathleen Eull, National Lewis
University teacher David Hackbarth, Eppstein Uhen Principal Jonathan
Parker, publisher Mark Sabljak and Waukesha County District Attorney
Brad Schimel. All five appointees have a previous connection to the
school.
