WAUKESHA - Municipal clerks in Waukesha County are expecting to work
a late night for Tuesday’s election, thanks to the many voters who
cast their ballots early.
Tom Neill, Waukesha city clerk/treasurer, said Thursday that 700
people filled out absentee ballots at City Hall.
"The highest we have ever had was on the day before the
presidential election in 2004, when we had 350 people come to vote
early," he said.
With so many people electing to vote by mail or in person before
Tuesday, clerks can count on working long hours.
