BROOKFIELD - The Elmbrook School District is looking at banning text
messaging between students and teachers, along with communication
via online networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
The school board was supposed to vote on the policy last week
during its regular board meeting, but discussion on the subject
indicated the issue wasn’t settled. Superintendent Matt Gibson
suggested the issue go back to the policy and legislative committee
for review since both sides had strong feelings about their
positions.
The next committee meeting is 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in Room 161 of the
central administrative offices, 13780 Hope St. in Brookfield.
