A new grandstand, pictured, with seating for 723 and a concessions area, press box and restrooms is being proposed as an improvement to the current baseball diamond at Frame Park so it can serve as home for a new Northwoods League team. The grandstand was designed to blend in with the nearby Rotary Building. The plan also includes upgrades to the field, bleacher seating for 709 and a 5,000-square-foot party deck and dugouts.

WAUKESHA - Signs are popping up in yards near Frame Park, and they have nothing to do with the upcoming presidential election.

These signs are directed at the city’s plan commission, asking them to "Defend Frame Park."

On Wednesday, plan commissioners will be considering a conditional use permit and preliminary plans for improvements to Frame Park’s existing baseball diamond to serve as home to a new Northwoods League team.

The plan to create a Waukesha team that will use the park for its 34 home games has been controversial since Chad Bauer, co-owner of the Green Bay Bullfrogs, proposed it in May.
