A 54-year-old Sussex man will be
spending his jail time repenting his sins after entering no contest
pleas to fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct in
connection with an incident involving an 18-year-old Richfield
pastor's daughter.
Michael M. Hanley entered the pleas before Washington County
Circuit Court Judge James Meuhlbauer Monday and he was promptly
sentenced to 75 days in the county jail and placed on two years’
probation. A 135 day jail sentence on the sex charge was imposed,
but stayed. If he violates the conditions on his probation he will
serve the full sentence.
