Procedure offered former Thiensville public works director better quality of life

THIENSVILLE - Kathy Gehrke knows her husband, Robert, won’t be forgotten, especially since she’s stressing home hemodialysis for those with kidney problems.

Robert or "Bob" as most folks in Thiensville knew him, had diabetes, developed kidney problems and began home dialysis care where he did it for 2 1/2 hours, six days a week rather than for four hours, three days a week at a medical facility.
