Surrounded by supporters, Republican
presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., speaks
Thursday about his plans for the presidency should he be
elected during the town hall forum held at the Center Court
Sports Complex, 815 Northview Road in Waukesha.

WAUKESHA - The Straight Talk Express had more than 4,500 eager
passengers Thursday, each with their own reason for getting a ticket
to ride on Arizona Sen. John McCain’s town hall campaign stop in
Waukesha.
Brookfield resident Irene Rydlewicz, 93, was brought to the
Center Court Sports Complex by her granddaughter for the chance to
see McCain, the first presidential candidate she was compelled to
actively support since Democrats John F. Kennedy and Franklin D.
Roosevelt before him. Guaranteeing with a smile that she was
"the oldest person here," Rydlewicz said it was leadership
that sets McCain apart from past presidential candidates and his
Democratic rival, Sen. Barack Obama.
