Thompson, local GOP officials tout talents of McCain and Palin

WAUKESHA - With the fervor of a professional wrestler and the
backing of thousands of his party faithful, former Gov. Tommy
Thompson gave a ringing endorsement Thursday to his fellow
Republican and presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain.
And, in case there was any doubt about his choice for a vice
president, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has risen from the political
outskirts to national notoriety since her appointment at the end of
August, Thompson said he sees nothing but positives.
