WAUKESHA - The economy looks to play an
increasingly important factor in the presidential race, and during
his visit to Waukesha on Thursday, Republican John McCain positioned
himself as the candidate best capable of improving the situation.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd at the Center Court Sports
Complex, McCain repeatedly argued that his policies would help two
of the groups most threatened by the weakened housing market -
homeowners and small businesses.
