DELAFIELD - No matter where you see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, it is a moving experience, said Kelly Bukowsky with Delafield Legion Post 196.

Bukowsky has visited the actual Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., four times over the years, and seen the replica version that travels around the country twice. The replica, or Moving Wall as it’s known, will be making a stop in Delafield this week, Thursday through Oct. 20, sponsored by the American Legion post.

"It’s always emotional, no matter where you see it," Bukowsky said. "The wall is the same, it’s the surroundings that are different."

The Moving Wall will be displayed at the Fish Hatchery grounds on Main Street starting at 11 a.m. Thursday. The city has declared Thursday through Oct. 20 "Delafield Veterans Days" and several activities are planned in conjunction with the memorial’s presence.
