Harley party; organizers say expectations surpassed

WAUKESHA - 
The Harley-Davidsons might have left downtown Waukesha, but not before causing quite the stir as customized bikes competed for cash prizes, bands rocked Cutler Park and visitors from near and far got reacquainted with a city that hosted one of the summer’s biggest parties - the Weekend in Waukesha.

Andy Ruggeri, one of the Weekend in Waukesha organizers, said the event was a success.

"We’re very happy. It seemed to go very well. We got a lot of good comments," he said. "It was what we were hoping for."

Motorcyclists came from as close as Waukesha and as far as New Zealand to enjoy the Weekend in Waukesha, which included performances by Montgomery Gentry and the BoDeans, and featured food, beer and shopping.
