WAUKESHA -
The Harley-Davidsons might have left downtown Waukesha, but not
before causing quite the stir as customized bikes competed for cash
prizes, bands rocked Cutler Park and visitors from near and far got
reacquainted with a city that hosted one of the summer’s biggest
parties - the Weekend in Waukesha.
Andy Ruggeri, one of the Weekend in Waukesha organizers, said the
event was a success.
"We’re very happy. It seemed to go very well. We got a lot
of good comments," he said. "It was what we were hoping
for."
Motorcyclists came from as close as Waukesha and as far as New
Zealand to enjoy the Weekend in Waukesha, which included
performances by Montgomery Gentry and the BoDeans, and featured
food, beer and shopping.
