WAUKESHA - After two failed motions at its meeting Monday, the
Waukesha Business Improvement District’s board of directors ended
up taking no stand on a plan to bring Northwoods League baseball to
Frame Park.
The first motion, made by Matthew Jendrzejczyk, was to postpone
making a decision one way or the other until more information was
known about the city budget.
"The city is going to have a tight budget, and department
heads have been asked to make cuts," he said. "I love the
idea of baseball, but I’d like to see the process slowed
down."
The Waukesha Common Council will vote on the plan at its meeting
at 7:30 p.m. today at City Hall, 201 Delafield St.
Norm Bruce made the second motion at Monday’s BID meeting,
which was to support Green Bay Bullfrogs co-owner Chad Bauer’s
proposal to start a new team in Waukesha with Frame Park as its
home.
Both motions failed.
