In a four-man field for two seats on the board, Stepanski took 5,251 votes (31.4 percent) while incumbent Kris Beaver was re-elected with 4,737 votes (28.38 percent).

Randall Stark came in third with 3,973 votes (23.89 percent) while West Bend West senior and student representative to the School Board Carl Knepel won 2,600 votes (15.58 percent).

Beaver, who has been on the board for four years, said he was happy the district’s voters chose to return him.

"Clearly, I would be happier if both referendum (questions) had passed," he said.
