Incumbent mayor retains 
position in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN - Mayor Jack Chiovatero will serve another term following Tuesday’s election win over challenger Ted Wysocki, a former mayor and current New Berlin alderman.

According to unofficial results posted Tuesday night on the city’s Web site, Chiovatero received 4,797 votes (55 percent) and Wysocki received 3,911 votes (44.8 percent). There were 19 write-in candidates.

Chiovatero has served as mayor since 2005 and was an alderman from 1999 to 2005.

Of 30,418 registered voters in the city, 8,892 city residents, or 29.2 percent, voted in Tuesday’s election, according to the election results.
