WEST BEND - Area residents will be able
to earn a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice at the
University of Wisconsin-Washington County starting this fall.
This is the eighth four-year degree students at UW-WC can
complete wholly - or in one case, three out of four years - in West
Bend. All are in partnership with four-year University of Wisconsin
institutions.
And more four-year degrees will be on the way to West Bend, if he
can help it, said Dean David Nixon.
"This is part of our ongoing effort to bring baccalaureate
programs here. It’s part of a trend," he said. "We hope
to be able to bring more of this to the campus."
UW-WC and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will form a new
partnership next month that will allow students of the West Bend
college to earn a four-year degree in criminal justice from UW-O, it
was announced by UW-WC Wednesday.
