Huntington Mortgage Group filed foreclosure papers Friday against Newcomer in Waukesha County Circuit Court, alleging he owes $284,689 on a property he owns at 1450 Victoria Circle North, Elm Grove.

According to the documents, Newcomer took out a loan of $313,000 in 2003 to pay for the property. He moved to Delafield in 2005 amid controversy that he didn’t live in the district that he was elected to represent.

However, Newcomer said Wednesday he has been working through a short sale of the house and all three parties involved have come to an agreement to close on the deal Feb. 27, after dealing with four months of issues with the property.
